Ok so this is a wierd one but how old does a girl usually have her period at or how late can she. Madison freakin out because she never had her period and she really has no sign of having one. The reason she freakin out is because her sisters and a few of her friends have already have it. I told her not to worry that maybe you will be lucky and just be 16 the time you have it. But i don't know anything about that because i was 11 when i had mine. I think she scared because she doesn't want to have hers and she doesn't get why she not having it like people she knows. I know its personal but i want her to know that she going to be ok. I think to her there something wrong or there going to have to do something. I don't know i just tell her she ok but i been trying to ask people. Caitlyn getting a physical for cheer on Monday and i'm bringing Madison so we could talk to the nurse or doctor about it if she would like too.

I've known someone as young as 9 that got it... and someone as late as 16. It's worth asking the doctor if she is worried, but she is, most likely, perfectly normal.

My niece was 8 when she got hers ... I know someone who was 18 ... is she a very active person because sometimes that can make it come later ... talk to the dr I'm sure everything is fine

I was 8 when I got mine, however my MIL didn't until she was 17. There is a variety of different ages to be considered 'normal'. everyone is different.

I had a friend in high school who told me her mom didn't get hers 'til she was 18, so very late. I know from reading things that 12-13ish seems to be the most common age. I don't think she has anything to worry about. Maybe you could start a convo about periods when her friends are around to get them talking (and maybe they'll tell her how lucky she is to make her feel better). Taking her to the dr. is a good idea. Hopefully she'll feel better after that!
