Both my grandsons are having trouble with peeing in bed still. One is 8 and the other is 11. I feel bad for my daughter she spends so much money on there sleep undies. They can't do sleep overs because they are ashamed about it.She has tried not giving them water before bed but it didn't help. She is all for natural remedies an old ways.

I agree with Evelyn to tale them to the doctor.I would also just like to mention that i have an eight year old cousin and he still cant use the toilette at night and he needs special diapers to go to school..it hasnt got anything to do with his body,he is a rather clever wonderful eight year old but it is psychological, his father (my uncle) is shizophrenic and he has gone through so much stuff when he was small (being left alone in the appartment at night etc etc etc).I am not saying something went wrong by your grandchildren but that sometimes traumatizing events can also be the cause.

Thank you Evelyn I think she has taking them to the Dr. but I don't feel anything he said helped. But I will call her and find out for sure and tell her of her idea.

Maybe she needs to make a trip to their doctor to see if they can figure out the problem. It could be as simple as that their bodies have grown on into the size of the child that they each are and that their orgrans controlling peeing have not yet gotten there. It does not sound like it is a issue where the kids are using it to gain control over parents or for attention seeking. The doctors would then be able to come up with reccomendations for treatments and other ways to help them quit this cycle. Sometimes they have to just outgrow it.
