On-line forums are a great resource, but what groups and support exist where people meet-up in real life???

I am feeling like whenever I look for an activity I get advice towards more on-line links, or to a Facebook group, then I am met with more 'on-line' communication and people who are content supporting each other via the internet. I need real-live conversation over coffee.

Can anyone recommend any activities and support groups that take place out of an internet environment for active healthy females that just want to connect and build their network?

meetup.com is a great site. You put in your location and select what type of group you would like to join. They regularly have real life meets, not online.

Sorry but I'm in Australia so won't be joining, it's a bit far away. I was up there last year though, beautiful place.

I always met new friends through church groups. That's pretty much the only place I ever made new friends. Idk if you belong to a church or not, but at the last church I went to we had a ladies night. We'd meet up at someone's house, bring a dish to pass and a bottle of wine (or whatever your beverage of choice is). We'd just talk and hang out! It was so much fun.

Thanks Michelle. I didn't see any groups I wanted to join, so I created my own for soon-to-be-mommies in Calgary, Alberta:

Here is the link:

It is called Pregnant in 2015/2016 - Calgary Expecting Moms Meetup

You can check it out here: http://www.meetup.com/Pregnant-in-2015-2...

All Calgary women are welcome!
