Hi all, first time using circle of mums, basically I've been breastfeeding my son for fourteen months now, without me realising he became very quickly attached to using me as a 'dummy' due to being woken so much we've ended up Co-sleeping since he was around 6 month which really made him more attached to me.. Recently I've been nagged alot by family about still breastfeeding him, my grandma told me it was unnatural! Ha which I found quite funny. But all the people having ago at me is quite upsetting, although I think I am ready to give up now as much as I love the special bonding time I have with him it can frustrate me sometimes that I can't ever leave him for long as he only goes to sleep whilst suckling away on me and I do want him to be sleeping in his cot, him waking up in the night constantly mustn't br any better for him then it is for me I haven't had a good nights sleep in ages! & I haven't a partner of a family member that will really give me support putting an end to this, any advice welcome! Thanks x

There's nothing in the world wrong w/ what you are doing. My son was not ready to night wean until he was 2 years old. Up until that point he nursed 1-5 times/night... He also nursed at bedtime til 3.25 years old. We still co-sleep which I have no problem with doing, but he has slept all night (other than rare occurrences of illness, bad dreams, or needing to pee) since he was 2 years old. I did it on HIS timeline w/ a little encouragement from me and I wouldn't change a thing.
