Ontario Can. Home Alone Age-Is There One

I've been researching this topic of how long, when a child in Ontario Canada can be left alone & there is no definite age.

As I have 0 desire to go toe to toe with the all-powerful Children's Aid Society, I'd like to know what the regulations for leaving a borderline-gifted 12.5 year old male with a cell phone and nearby friends in apartments are. My son's 12 going on 20 and rarely moves from working on his computer unless it's to get something out of the microwave or nature calls. Any thoughts?

Generally, in most areas, the home alone age varies. In some places it is as young as 10. Not sure where to tell you to look, but we have a few Canadian mom's here, hopefully you can get some links.

IMO, your boy is old enough. My eldest started around age 10. 😁
