Organizational skills

I am a full time student as well as a mother and wife. I find it easy to organize my school life, but I feel as though my home is a MAD HOUSE 90% of the time. I don't know how to balance my organizational skills between home and school. PLEASE any pointers feel free to comment. Thank you so much for your input!

At home I implemented a cube system. You get a metal frame that you assemble and cubes that fit the square spaces. You can have one cube or 12. I have four kids and there are two sets of "cubes" loosely defined as school cubes and sport cubes. Each kid has one of each, in the school cubes goes school work, field trip forms, PE uniforms, lunch boxes...anything related to school. The sport cubes have the cleats, knee pads, shin guards, under armor garments for cold weather play, sport uniforms and their hats and mittens for winter times. This has served to declutter amazingly. If you have other specific issues, let me know and I have probably faced it at one time or another. How old are your kids and how many do you have/
