Good morning Moms,

I don't know if I have been in denial the last 12 years or hoping for that miracle I am certain the Lord can provide, but the holidays sure do add to the OCD behaviors. We just completed an intensive 3 month (3 day/wk) chiropractic treatment with little help. I know that together things work & am wondering what others have done to help. My son is 12, has always been clumsy, slow to learn, has no interest in learning and can hardly sit still. I am sure he can also be on the autistic spectrum but I really prefer not to have a formal diagnosis labeling him. Help!!

The best way to help your son IS to get a formal diagnosis. The reason I say this is because then you can learn how to help him. Labels aren't always negative. If you don't want to share his diagnosis then that is up to you not to. But in the long run, you aren't doing him any favors.

The Lord IS helping you by providing such wonderful medical advances, that you have so many options for you and your son at your feet. If you believe in God, then you know he/she makes everyone exactly how they are suppose to be.

We can not help you. You are refusing to even go for an initial diagnosis.

Get yourself out of the state of denial. You cannot help yourself, OR your kid if you keep those blinders on.

1) If you are concerned about your child's behaviour why would you NOT want a diagnosis?
2) If your child's behaviour has not improved, or has worsened, why would you NOT want a diagnosis?
3) If this has been going on for TWELVE YEARS, why would you NOT want a diagnosis?
4) 'PRAYING' that a cure will happen without allowing God to work through the physicians and practitioners is negating your prayers.

Final recommendation? Pull your head out of your rear end. Get your kid diagnosed, so that he can be helped.
