I have been a stay at home wife. Now I'm a stay at home wife and mother. I have been feeling like overwelmed lately because I am in my home for hours and I just feel like I am in a cage sometimes.Need some advice

Find one or two other stay-at-home mothers in your community - just one or two though - and make sure they have the same number of children as you, preferably close in age. Make an arrangement whereby for one day a week or even one day a month you will take turns to look after each other's children - and enjoy the day to yourself. You can take on the children of BOTH of the other mothers or have some rota where you'll each take the child or children of ONE other mother. If it's your turn to have the children have the day planned with an outing or some activity they will all enjoy.

Also have days out with the other mother(s) and their children as a group. Get the men involved too, when they're not at work.

Good luck.

I agree with Nancy, you need to get out of the house. See if there any playgroups in your area that you can go to once a week or so to meet other Mums and for your baby to interact with.

Leave the house. Take a walk, go to the mall, meet up with other moms for a play date. It's good for you and good for your child.
