That's something you are likely to have to approach his family about. It isn't written into "law", so his family and your family need to discuss it between you.

Yep so in African cultures their are different types of damage that has to be payed for the pregnancy for the women's family

Ok, I wasn't sure. Thanks for clarifying. Is that where you are? In Africa? From my understanding, in that culture, women are pretty much left to raise the children practically alone with no support.

Do you mean Tongan culture? Are you actually living in Tonga? Or elsewhere? Is he a Tongan citizen or a citizen from elsewhere? You didn't give much information.

It's also not paying for the "damage". You don't get payments for damages anywhere. You get child support to assist you with raising the child. If you aren't planning on raising the child, you won't get anything.
