pediatrician gave my infant a bruise

My son had his 2 month old apt today. We have a new pediatrician due to moving, and I was already thinking of finding a new one because at his newborn apt she didn't seem very friendly. Today, while he was laying on his back she grabbed his arm on the inside of his elbow pulling him up to test his strength. After getting home, I was changing his clothes and noticed a bruise where she was pulling him at. He had just had a bath before the apt and the bruise was not there. Plus I never pull or grab him by the arms. Just wanting to know if anyone else has had a similar experience.

I'm a mother of a 7 week old baby boy. I can understand your concern completely. If you're not comfortable with your pediatrician Dr. I think you should change who your taking your baby to see for follow-ups. Not sure about the bruising part, but strength tests are normal. Your son can also bruise easily. Did you call the doctors office where you took your son and file a complaint? Maybe you should've if you were that concern. There could have been other concern mothers that had gone through the same experience the filed a complaint on the same doctor. Your call could make a difference! Or help another parent like yourself. Sorry your little guy had to experience such a thing but luckily he won't remember the experience. Good luck with finding a pediatrician you're comfortable with :)

Never had that experience, but if you don't like her, find a new doctor asap. The idea is to have a pediatrician that knows your child from birth through teenage years. At least in my opinion. You want to find someone that you like, and feel comfortable taking care of your children.
