Should I be letting my 5 month old sleep with a toddler pillow? He seems to sleep better with it & he is quite strong for his age & he also sleeps in a swaddle suit with his arms up, so he can't roll.. But I still have a but if doubt in my mind..

If he sleeps well while swaddled it is fine. My nephew was swaddled for pretty much the entire first year cuz he slept better that way. Just no pillows.

Ok great thanks. Yes I still swaddle him at this age because he won't sleep if he isn't, after many nights of trying to have 1 arm out & him waking every hour I figured he isn't ready..

I wouldn't. It's not worth the risk. Especially with his arms 'bound' cuz if he does manage to roll over (determined babies WILL find a way)... he could be stuck that way and smother.

I have been told that its not recommended that a child have a pillow until they are over age one or even older. As said in previous post to this one they can get caught in it just so and not be able to breath. At five months, they are not ready for pillows. Also you still swaddle him up? At his age most babies roll all over and swaddling is not really needed at this age. If he rolls over in the night, he rolls over.

Not a good idea. No matter how strong a 5 month old baby is, they can still smother in the night with extra items in their crib, especially a pillow. I would not be doing this, it is very dangerous.
