It seemed like I was a great mom when my son was younger (a newborn) now that he is 13 months old I feel like I am slipping away from him..I don't want to hold him all the time, I don't have the goofy side that my husband does and I feel like I am not giving him the attention that he needs I feel like a bad mother.

Try and get involved with a mums and tots group near to you. Believe me we all feel like this now and again. You need to get out and meet new mums like yourself so that your child can play and you can relax and watch other mums with there children. I had two boys and felt a little left out with them as they played with each other and rough and tumble with there dad. I did take them to playgroups because i felt at that time that I did not know how to play with my kids. Nurturing a child is hard work at times and it is alot easier when you have someone to talk to who understands what you are going through. Give the playgroups a go and if you still feel the same way in a months time then go and talk to your doctor you may be experiencing some form of depression.

It is normal at some point to feel like this don't be to hard on yourself. It is up to you to put this right though so look up your nearest playgroup and go along.
