Yes as the person earlier said lean on your school district call every person in the phone book! Until they help you! My son was 3 ( he's 15 now) and my 2nd son born so I knew he should be talking by then but he only pointed and grunted. At 3yr old our public school district evaluated and tested him for free and then after testing low they enrolled hm in their special ed program. They offered him two kinds of therapy 5days a week 1/2 days. I was as a parent upset and blamed myself. Was so worried about what his future would hold! He used the special help plus started regular school on time and this continued until 3rd grade. They told us he was caught up with his class so the therapy ended. But they were correct he was ready to go off the program. He scores very high on all his testing and since the 5th grade he continues to be moved up grade levels in math. He is starting 10th gr this fall and is in trig/calculus AP classes. He's was always very shy and quiet when little but now he is in drama and auditions and sings/performs for large audiences. I guess looking back I would tell myself to stress less and pat myself on the back that I never stopped looking for help. Be glad you noticed a problem and just never stop looking for helping.hopefully in a few years your child will be exceeding all your expectations! Best of luck!

If he's almost 4 and he doesn't talk he would definitely qualify for speech services. The school should be setting that up for him and I would not stop speaking to them until it happened.

I would be getting him into a speech therapist. That will help him a lot more.

He'll be 4 in October. He had ear tubes placed In May 2013. He understands everything and says few words when he feels like it. I had him evaluated and they weren't too sure, and even his special ed teacher said he's too advanced for her class which he was placed in the Autism class, that they're moving him to a regular class. He does everything like a 4 year old does, but just doesn't talk. Please help! Thanks

How old is your son, and have you had him evaluated for the problem?
