Hello ladies,
I just gave birth to my daughter October 3rd. I originally planned to breastfeed. My daughter had bilirubin. Therefore I had to give her formula to help her poop more often. So the doctor said. It confused her and she did not like the breast. Not to mention my nipples was extremely sore because she was not latching properly so I couldn't get her on the breast. About a week later I tried to get her on the beast and she was not having it. She was screaming and fighting the breast. So I just gave up on the breastfesding thing because I felt like it was too much of a struggle. But now today I see breastmilk at my nipples. :) I just got extremely excited because I've wanted nothing more than to breastfeed her. However, I know that getting her on the nipple is a bit much since she's been on formula and the bottle. So I was wondering if you ladies had any advice on how I can possibly boost my milk supply and transition her to breastmilk. Also is it possible to breastfeed through bottle only. Meaning I pump and just give it to her through bottle? I need help ladies please!!

You can definitely pump and give your daughter breastmilk through a bottle. Meanwhile, keep trying to see if she'll latch...it's never as easy as it sounds. It takes a while for infants to learn how to latch, so don't despair and hang in there. Good luck.
