I cannot name my baby boy. I have narrowed it down to two names, either Adam or Nathan. I also have a 4 yr dd named Natalie if that helps. So

Adam Moore or Nathan Moore?

It always fascinated me that parents actually waited till they were born to name them. I could never do that, I named them all in utero and began calling them by their name from the minute we had a name. I think all babies just fit the name they are given. Well that is my opinion if it matters at all.

Also the reason I like Adam better as well is I hate nicknames so I love that Adam can't be shortened. I dislike Nathan because it will be shortened to a nick name as well as being to close to Natalie.

Why don't you wait and see who he looks like when he's born? He might not look like an Adam or Nathan.

If it makes a difference to you, Nathan has been hovering in popularity between 20 and 30 (right now at 27th most popular name) for the past 10 years. Adam has been steadily declining from the 50's and is now 85th most popular name. (Check out ssa.gov and hit the link on the left for baby names to find out the popularity of a name.)

Love the name Nathan. Be prepared for nickname 'Nate'. You can't lose with either name though. What if you went with Adam Nathan Moore or Nathan Adam Moore?

Nathan is great. I agree with having all the same letters. I have all K's and a niece and nephew with a K. They love it.

Adam.. reason being i had a sister with same sound and was anoying to me that I'd be confused w/ her or family wouldn't give us seperate identity with names so similar.

I would say Nathan since your daughter is Natalie. I think it's really cute when the kids all start with the same letter!

Nathaniel is an excellent name. He can choose to be called his full name, Nate or Nathan. I love it. Nathananiel is a strong, independent, very likeable, caring type of name. Its perfect!!!

Nathan and Natalie are very similar names true, but they dont sound very much alike at all, even Nate and Nat dont sound so alike.

That's soooo funny because I'm due April 13th with a boy and his father's name is Adam (he wants to name him Adam Jr) and I really want the name Nathan. I think because your last name starts with an "M" you should go with Nathan. It has a better flow to it I think. Good luck! :)

I have four girls so I don't know how much help I would be in the boy naming department. But when I chose their names they just came to me, I have Brenna, Moya, Tiernagh, and Gracia. I would go with the name that feels right to you, the one you think will represent your son to be the most. Look at their origins, and what they mean. I don't know about you but I always felt a connection with my girls before they were born, and when the names came to me they just stuck.

I kinda like it when siblings name are similar. So I like Nathan. I also think it sounds weird when the last and first letters of the names are the same. (kinda like your slurring your words) AdaM Moore, maybe that's just me...
