At 10 he could be starting puberty, the hormones could likely be having an effect on his behaviour. His meds may need to be adjusted to accommodate. It's also very important that he doesn't miss a dose unless advised by a professional.

My son was diagnosed with ODD with aggressive tendancies at age 4 as well, he was extremely violent with his cousin for no reason what so ever thankfully the meds we were put on have helped tremendously he will 10 in a few days and so far we have not had it get worse. Have you recently increased his meds perhaps his dosage levels are off I would go back to the psychiatrist and tell him what is going on have him go through a full physical and make sure he doesn't need a med change. I hope this helps,

You definitley need to speak to your doctor and find out the best way to deal with his behaviour, also you need to get in touch with some kind of support group where you can get help and advice from other parents who are dealing with the same issues, if you can't find a group in your local area then have a look online cause you might be able to join an online suport group.
Goodluck and hang in there :)

I work with a few kids with ODD. You need to let his therapist know ASAP, and see if there are more mental health programs you can get him in. My mental health center has an after school program that really seems to help our kids. Also our mental health centers offers case managers to help children reach thier mental health goals. If you think you son is uncontrolable & a threat to himself or other call your local mental health centers crisis line... They will give you further instructions. Feel free to message me any time.
