Hi Cherelle,

I know exactly what you are going through. I experienced pelvic girdle pain during the last few weeks of my first pregnancy and also got it midway through my second pregnancy. After delivering my second child, it started to go away but then came back full force a few months later. At that point I found a physical therapist who specializes in this problem and she has helped me tremendously. My daughter is now 21 months old and I still have it, but it does not affect me as much as before. I am now able to do my daily activities without the ongoing pain. I had the same exact symptoms as you.

Has your midwife or therapist mentioned anything to you about your joints being hypermobile or too flexible? Apparently that is just part of my problem and it is due to genetics. People look at me like I have 3 heads when I tell them what's wrong with me. There is not enough awareness about this VERY common problem. However, I suppose for people like you and me, it doesn't clear up right away like it should. Please feel free to contact me. I'd love to help you through this. It is not easy...especially when others don't understand.
