HI.. well let me start by saying my son is turning 10 months on march 28.. and he breastfeeds exclusively , he doesn't know how to use a bottle kinda.. so I am teaching him how too and I give him regular milk too(just a little bit) because I want him to be ready for regular milk by 12 months. Its weird because I want him off the breast because I need time to go out with my husband and have drinks with him, I miss doing that with him. But I feel selfish too! so many mixed emotions :(. My husband said im not selfish because I gave him a year of breastmilk exclusively and not alot of young women do that now in days. I feel like im going to miss breastfeeding too! weird yes! right..? Has any one been through this..? what to do? please moms help me out.

She is turning 3 in a couple of weeks, and I still miss bfing her. That could be because she is my last child, or because I know I weened her to early. I don't know. Maybe a combo of both. I often felt a bit hostage, I understand how you feel. Totally wanted my body back. It can be difficult to ween for sure. Start by eliminating daily feedings....but keep the morning, afternoon and evening....imo of course.

He is to young for whole milk, I would avoid giving that to him. If he does not like the bottle, introduce him to a sippy cup instead. It is hard to bf. I had to bf my daughter until she was 15 months because she would not take a bottle with pumped bm, nor formula. She would take a sippy cup of water though. After I weened her (she was definately not ready) I did regret it though.
