Hi There, my 11 year old grandson has stage 5 kidney disease and his bladder has stretched so much that he always has a small amount of urine left in his bladder after he's finished going to the bathroom. The problem is every night ,he has to wear a pull-up however they aren't thick enough and he wets the bed every night. It's really sad as he can never have sleep overs at his friends house because of this problem and he has often stayed up all night for fear of wetting the bed and terrified of his friends knowing. Please please is there someone out there who has a solution to to this problem. Help Help me. Thank- you

What ahve his doctors said? My son, at 16, was diagnosed with kidney failure, and in full renal shutdown. He had crushed his urethra, but was asymptomatic for 8 years (until he went into failure, that is).
When his condition was diagnosed, the first thing they did was cath him to completely drain and clear his bladder. He had to wear the cath for almost a year while his kidneys recovered, the necessary surgical procedures were performed, and his bladder recovered, but after that, was fine.
They had us use Depends (adult) in the meantime for him.

They make diaper liners that are used for extra absorbancy. Maybe he could add that to the pull-up? They are flushable liners that are used with a cloth diaper, but I think they'd work in a pull-up. Look up "bumkins flushable liner"
