Hi there, I'm hoping to get some help here. My 2 1/2 year old is refusing to go potty. I feel like I've tried everything. Stickers, sticker charts, candy, cupcakes, books, music, I set a timer for her to go, I have a routine set for when she goes, sometimes it's successful and sometimes I get nothing. She tells me when she has to poop or when she's gone. She's fairly independent. To me, I guess, she shows the signs of being ready but I'm not sure. She's always been a late bloomer as far as developmental milestones are concerned. She started walking and talking at the later end of normal so I'm thinking/hoping maybe that's what's happening here. It's just frustrating when you don't know if that's it or if something is actually wrong. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Your always welcome, and oh lord i feel you! I am still so anxious, even after having a little one. Got two wonderful girls, one teen and one baby :) its worth it but the worrying can drive a mom nuts D:

I think that's the key. We did celebrate tonight because she told me she had to go pee and then we ran to the potty, sat, and she actually went. SUCCESS! Very proud of my little girl.

Thanks for your feedback. I'll keep trekking and work on being less anxious about this entire process.

Maybe when she says she has too, sit her on the potty untill she does. Often helps with my younger one.
