My child is almost 3 1/2, has been peeing in the potty since April 2012. He decided that all himself. He has pooped in the potty twice, once all by himself. And was praised a lot cause he wasn't even 3 yet. Hasn't since then. He isn't bribable at all. Has to be potty trained for preschool, has had one bowel accident. He just holds it til he gets home or goes before school. He can't tell me why he won't, he refuses to sit and try. I know he needs to come to his own terms with it, but he will pee all day long. I don't even have to remind him to go. Some times he sleeps in underwear and is dry. He won't ask for a pull up anymore, he goes and hides. I tell him to go to the bathroom, he does then goes and rides elsewhere. He just refuses to do anything more than once it seems. I am frustrated with this issue. I just keep telling him that we need to work out this. He can talk to me or just go himself and I will assist in cleaning his bottom. :( Any other suggestions? I also have an almost 3 month old baby, could this have anything to do with it? He is middle, so he has an older brother that he loves to play with. So he is not ignored at all. He can't tell me why most of the time, says cause. Also he will say theres no lights (not true) and most recently it hurts me (i don't see how the potty hurts him) :( HELP!
