Put him/her on the potty at regular intervals (every 30-45 minutes), try a timer, stickers, books, toys to keep him/her on the potty, use cloth training pants so they know they are wet or soiled, praise, patience, and persistence. It took 10 months for me to potty train my daughter, start to finish was a lot longer than actually ''training'' her. The first few days were nothing but accidents, then she started to understand. If you have a boy, I have heard to teach them sitting down first. I didn't use potty charts or stickers since mine was too little to understand but it may work for you, letting girls run around the house naked...etc. any other questions just send me a message and I would be happy to help! Good luck!
