My daughter is almost two years old and, after showing multiple signs of potty training readiness, I have begun the process of teaching her how to use the potty. She has grasped the concept that the potty is used to pee/ poop; however, she will not go unless I lead her to the bathroom. For instance, at one point in time, she did the potty dance and knew she had to pee, but, instead of going to the potty, she peed on the floor. I am a first time mommy, so I do not know how to teach her to take initiative. What strategy can I use to encourage this behavior?
