my daughter who is 2 and almost 9 months recently had chickenpox. Before the pox she was doing really well on the potty and had started pooping and peeing and we gave her a little present plus stickers every time she went and the present after a few days. she now seems to have relapsed after the illness although I did get her to go on the bit toilet first thing this morning and then she wouldn't go potty or toilet for the rest of the day. I have promised her stickers and a present after a few days but nothing seems to interest her today. I will try again tomorrow as I am on hols from work so can perservere. Also she won't let me take the nappies away (pull ups) even though before her illness she was wearing pants.

Has anyone else had the same experience post illness with their daughter?

okay thanks for the advice - she is eating again although she is fighting her afternoon naps at home this weekend but she slept for the childminder. I think I'll leave it for a bit.

Everything goes out of whack after an illness and chicken pox is a serious illness. Personally I would forget it for a few weeks then start again. At the moment her immune system is crap, she will be exhausted, if my experiences are anything to go by she probably isn't eating properly and sleeping at weird times.
Let it go, if she does use the potty great but I would let her have the pull up for a few weeks.
