My daughter starting at around 17mo. would tell us when she went pee and poop at times. I didn't push potty training at the time because I was having morning sickness and not feeling well. She slowed down on telling us for a couple months, but now started telling us all the time. She's 21mo. I tried a couple times when I saw that she had to go poop and put her on the potty, but she just weaned for her diaper and said potty while pointing at it. I try to explain for her to go to bathroom on her potty but she wont. She tells us as she is going or right after the fact, so she knows when she has to go. She goes to the bathroom maybe every 4-5 hours sometimes longer. Mornings sometimes she wont go at all and when I get her from her afternoon nap she is wet, which makes it hard. She doesn't mind sitting on the potty, calls it a potty. But thinks she needs to do her busness in her diaper. Anybody have any tips on how to get her confortable and knowing it's okay to go on her potty? I was thinking of maybe getting a seat cover that goes over the toilet, maybe she would understand that better. I just started having her wear underwear at home, so hoping when she wets herself she'll figure out that doesn't feel good. Also a friend suggested pull ups when she is out of the house. Thanks for your help!
