Pre-k bedtime

My daughter will be starting pre-k soon and I am wondering what is a good bedtime. I currently out her to bed at 9pm and she wakes around 7:30am. I know that she will have to be school by 7:30am. Should I move her bedtime up? Thanks

You need to take her sleep needs into account.... and how long you both need to prepare before school starts. If she wakes on her own around 7:30 with a bedtime of 9... and functions well throughout the day it sounds like she needs about 10.5 hour of sleep at night. Once you figure out how long it will take her to get ready in the morning and get to school on time.... you will know how to adjust her bedtime accordingly.

When my older kids were starting school they still needed 12 hours at night and had to be up at 6:30 to get ready in time, so bedtime was 6:30. My youngest at that same age now needs a bit less sleep than they did... so bedtime is 7:30.

Yes move her bedtime earlier. Maybe around 7:30 at night. They need plenty of sleep. She will exhaust herself at school.
