My 4yr old just started Pre-K and is having the worst fits about going to school in the mornings, it is all I hear that I am not going to school. I have started a treasure chart and if she had a good day with no fits then she would get a treat but nothing is working. Please any advice would be great... Thank you

Do your best to ignore the behaviour. Organize your child for school and drop her off as if nothing out of the ordinary is happening. Kiss/cuddle the child goodbye and remind him/her you will be back to collect her at the end of the day. Wish her a good day, acknowledge the teacher, and leave. DO NOT LOOK BACK - this gives the child the opportunity to try and guilt you into staying longer. The child will settle in time. 9/10 times the child stops crying and chucking a fit within 5 mins of the parent leaving. If need be, hand the child to the teacher so that the teacher can initiate a distraction method while you slip away. It sounds hard i know, and it can be, but really, its best for the child to establish the routine.
