Had my hormones tested.. Doc said I'm in menopause .....still get period. Although been skipping months....and some barely there. Mood swings, anxiety, night sweets, memory loss, foggy brain....are all there!,
I thought menopause meant a full year without a period....or can it also mean I am entering menopause??.....confused!!

Menopause is a process, not the end in itself. Skipping periods, hormonal changes, etc, these are ALL a part of the process that can take anywhere up to 5-10 years. What your doctor meant when he said you are in menopause is that your hormones indicate you are currently going through the menopause process. Your periods may not cease altogether for some time yet. To be precise, menopause is more about cessation of the functioning of the ovaries than about the cessation of your period :)

Thank you !....it can be quite confusing and having all these anxieties does not help the matter!..lol

When the doctor told me , I was not surprised...but somewhat sad....sad that I have officially entered this new cycle ...makes me feel old!....:(
