I'm 36 weeks and 5 days pregnant and I'm getting period cramps. Is that normal to get? I'm getting them mostly at night and am unable to sleep. Why is this?

Shanowa, I think you will get more responses and advice is you start your own thread. Rather than post in an already active thread, start a fresh one and ask what you need advice about. In response to your recent post, I am not a radiologist or and OB, but have lots of experience in the field. The fetus would be visible at this time. How did you get the US report without discussing it with your doctor? Your doctor can exaplin the language and terms used in the report.

Hang in there and best of luck to you. It might be baby weight. Let your OBGYN know asap.

Sounds like you may have a bladder infection or the baby's head in pressing or your bladder or urethra. Drink lots of water, and some cranberry juice won't hurt either, and see what happens. When you do pee, can you start without difficulty and does it feel like you are making a good amount and your bladder is empty when you are done? If you do have a bladder infection, your going to need to get started on antibiotics. With baby down low, it can be hard to hold your urine and it can cause the feeling of needing to go, but you really want to be sure there is no infection.

@ Shanowa, It sounds like you got the clinical report for your US and did not have a chance to discuss it with your doctor. The terms you use are adjectives and measurements meant to be interpreted by the radiologist and your OB. That is who you need to talk too. A fetus would be visible on an US.

mommy this things could help to reduce your cramps. Do calf stretches before bed to prevent the cramping. But make sure not to point your toes while stretching. also Straighten your leg and flex your foot when you get a cramp. A gentle massage of the calf may help relax the muscle. Make sure you are drinking enough fluids during the day.

I have a question is there any way a baby can be missed on a ultrasound I'm curious...my last real cycle was march 15th 2015 which went 6 days as always in april no cycle may no cycle June 28th 2015 bleed for 3 days so there for on june 26th I went 103 days with no cycle...of course my husband and I were active in June several times I keep track of it I'm weird like that lol ....in July I had almost ever day my nipples were sore and I have had lower pelvic pain on the right side that goes down to my groin...in July on the 28 bleed for a few days again my husband and I were not active for July...Aug nipples sore and no bleeding and still pelvic pain on the 27th I took a pregnancy test it was positive...back in July I went to my family doctor on the 1st she did a blood pregnacy test the one that does yes or no it was negative...also in July on the 9th I went to my obgyn they did an ultrasound and there was nothing....September nipples still sore and on the 2nd did a blood test the yes or no one and it was negative again.....I also myself did tests from the store that were negative all different brands but I can't stop thinking about the positive one on August 27th 2015....also on September 11th had another ultrasound they found a technical artifact or heterogeneous myometrium adenomyosis and there are also measurements on the ultrasound as well....2.4×2.1 × 3.0cm it said the heterogeneous isoechoic region posterior uterine fundus measures that......I feel pregnant but today September 16 2015 I went for my pap smear the doctor said I am not...when she was doing the pap she did have a little trouble with the instrument to open my cervix it seemed like......she says and I quote come on cervix corporate

Sounds like the baby head is pushing on your cervix. Have you had a check up this week? You should be in the weekly phase. You may want to give your doctor a call just to make sure everything is fine. If the baby is moving and you aren't having regular contractions, you are going have to try to endure the discomfort. A few things that may help; take a warm bath or shower, drink a big glass of water and lay on your left side for a bit (that may help baby move), get on all fours and arch your back up and down slowly. You can take Tylenol for pain.
Here is an article that sort of give you an overview of what to be aware of, just remember your doctor or midwife is always the best one to turn to if you are really concerned.

Describe the pain for me. Where does it start, does it move, is it sharp or achy, how often does it come or is it constant, how long does it last, can you walk or talk through the pain? Do you have any bleeding or leaking fluid?

Sounds very normal. The leg cramps may improve if you drink more water. Good Luck!

Probably Braxton Hicks. Early labour and false labour actually feels pretty much like period cramps. Well, mine did anyway.
