Hi guys, I had my tubes tied when I was 23 I'm now 31 I've never missed a period or been more than 2-3 days late they have always been full cycles until now I'm now 10 days late! I'm tired ALL the time, needing to use the bathroom every 10 minutes, have headaches feel sick with certain smells and I've had a lot of clear discharge, however I've had 2 tests both negative my doctor did one of these and told me it's not possible to get pregnant after a tubal ligation I had my tubes cut not tied burnt or clamped. Any advice as I'm really confused I've not had any signs of my period starting. I'd love to have another baby it's painful not knowing 😕

I disagree completely, Michelle... we know our bodies and when there is something wrong. With my first ectopic, the Dr. told me I was not pregnant and sent me home... I ended up almost rupturing from an ectopic pregnancy. Go with your instincts! I am glad I did and went to another Dr.

Hi Kerry,

I have now had 3 ectopic pregnancies (1 post tubal ligation ectopic). With my first two ectopics I got negative hpt, and needed a blood test for a positive. Your beta levels will often be lower than a normal pregnancy, making it hard for a hpt to pick up. This past weekend I realized I was a week late for my period, and took a hpt... POSITIVE. I went to the ER, as I know the rate of ectopics after a tubal ligation is high. Sure enough my blood results showed the hcg level of being 5 weeks pregnant, but nothing in my uterus. I received Methotrexate injections, and will go back for more blood work to be sure my beta levels are dropping. Please do not mess around with this... it is life threatening! Go get blood work done!

Hi so today I had the tiniest little bit of blood but it was nothing more than what you would get from a tiny scratch. Should I be concerned or just wait to see the doctor again?

There are a few reason why your period can be late other than pregnancy and none of us could know why you are late.
You can either wait for your periods to start or go back to your doctor and discuss it with him.

Did your doctor do any further tests to find out why you haven't had your period?
You have a right to get him to investigate further, it's your body.
