pregnancy after tubes being lasered??

i am 37 yrs old.. i had my tubes lasered 12 yrs ago.. 3 months ago i supposedly had an ectopic pregnancy that the dr would not let me see.. he gave me the methotrexate injection and ended the pregnancy due to not being "viable pregnancy".. i am bout to marry a wonderful man who loves my kids but would love for us to have a baby.. what are our chances??

Wow your smart are u a doc.? I'm about to get my tubes done too and I'm very nervous will I still be able to work or left anything how long does it take to heel?

This is really a question for a doctor. Everyone here can say "hey it could happen" but the likelihood is slim considering you've had a tubal ligation. An ectopic pregnancy means that the fertilized egg never makes it out of the fallopian tube into the uterus. It's not a viable pregnancy because the egg can't survive in the tube for long and it can't be moved into the uterus to maintain viability. I'm sorry that it happened to you, but if you're considering more children you really should consult the doctor on your chances of conceiving. My cousin had her tubal reversed, though I'm not sure if her tubes were just tied, so again, I would consult a doctor about this.

Could be that the egg had not yet made it far from the ovary when it was fertilized, but I'm not sure that sperm can travel that far...not too sure on this one.

in addition, i must add doctor stated egg was in my ovary not my tubes.. so what does that mean?
