Pregnancy at 45

Hi although I have 3 children 2 from a previous marriage and one to my husband I'm trying hard for another child. Being 45 I'm finding it so difficult and upsetting. I'm came off bc 3 months ago my periods are a religious 28 day cycle I check ovulation but nothing. Can anyone help please. I have to take depression meds as been too poorly not to could this be causing problems too. Any advice will be greatly appreciated

Relax, exercise, eat well and forget about it, if it is meant to be it will happen, when we hold onto things too tightly they elude us. Good luck.

Shelly, at the age of 45, you should have expected that there was the possibility you were no longer ovulating, or your ovulation was sporadic at best. Your fertility began to decline 15 years ago, and the chances of getting pregnant now are about 5%, and this is when you are at the best of health. It may be that you are no longer able to get pregnant naturally. I would suggest that you go and see a doctor and have your fertility tested. But you are possibly going to have to accept that the only way you will be able to have another child is by using a donor egg.
