Pregnancy sick with 6 year old, how do I spend time with him?

So, I'm currently 8 weeks pregnant and I am super sick! Not just the nausea, but I have laryngiits with a sinus infection. It has completely put me out! My son, who is six, leaves in two weeks to see his dad for the summer, which is lucky for him because he gets away from me to have some fun! But I feel really bad because I can't spend that last minute time with my son and I need to plan a party for him both for his birthday I'm going to miss and a going away party.

My husband leaves for 5 days this week and I'm struggling to even get out of bed.

My son is so wonderful, he brings me what I need and puts blankets on me, but I don't want him to remember leaving and thinking, "Did she really care? Why didn't she spend time with me?" What do I do?

He knows you care... obviously by HIM caring for you... it shows that he knows.

Ways you can spend time together right now.... watching movies, playing card or board games, have him read to you, you read to him, etc...

As for the party.... small and simple is good. ;)

Hang in there and I hope you feel better soon!

Thank you Cynthia, that makes me feel a bit better. I managed to drag myself to his bedroom and had him pick out movies for us to watch together. If that's the most I can do for now, I'll take it. He sure did enjoy the fact that I wanted to watch with him, and even when I had to run to the bathroom, he was still glad I came back. I do have the supermom complex, "what else can I do?" We always fail to give ourselves credit.
