Hi, I have a 7 and a half year old boy and a 3 month old boy. I'm nearly 42 and would like another child before I get too old! Just wondering if okay to try so soon after the last one. Thanks!

Typically you want at least 2 years between c-sections. Your body NEEDS time to heal. 'They' typically recommend at least 12 months between pregnancies even when you don't have a c-section in order to give your body time to heal... add in the major abdominal surgery on top of that and it's really best to wait at least 18ish months before trying to conceive again.

While this is really a question for your doctor, recommendations are to wait at LEAST 12-18 months before another pregnancy. You have just had MAJOR abdominal surgery and your abdominal muscles need time to heal before they are ready to hold another pregnant belly. Give them that time. I understand you have a clock ticking, but is it really worth risking your health for?
