Did you or anyone you know have to go their whole pregnancy(then giving birth and surprising everyone) knowing they were pregnant the whole time but no medical proof to back it up...all negative test results?? .even negative ultrasound? I know you should trust your body. .just wondering how often this actually happens. Thanks everyone

All healings in my family ARE explained. GOD. He provides! I know it sounds corny, but when your kid is literally 10% bodily function away from death, and he pulls through, the only explanation is God.

That is an interesting story, but Rebecca was not insisting she was pregnant. The investigation that followed never disclosed when the scans were done. If they were true pelvic ultrasound the following statement was made by one of the investigating doctors:
"“The only way you might miss that is if you were looking at the wrong scan or if the person doing the scan didn't know how to use the equipment properly,"
the articles that relate also go on to state that this was a case of Rebecca not think she was or could be pregnant, and that does happen. The fact that her medical workup did not reveal a pregnancy is curious. I don't hold Women's weekly as a reliable source but I believe this story is true. Is it the whole story? Don't know. Same woman went to her fifth month before realizing her pregnancy with her firstborn.
I believe God works in mysterious way. I respect your investigation of the mysterious aspect of this case and I am not calling it false.

There is a difference between a miraculous healing... and someone assuming technology just 'failed' to find a baby. The only way for a baby to not be seen via ultrasound at least at SOME point in a pregnancy... is if the u/s machine is broken.

'Can' God 'hide' a pregnancy from technology and all the doctors... well, sure, He's God He can do anything... but as far as it EVER actually happening? I don't believe it has or will.

Yes Shawn .... the answer is God... anything is possible with God.....notice i said anything. ..even perhaps negative ultrasounds. ..perhaps fiction? I believe the bible and every word inside it. I'm glad you can share that point of view. .

This type of pregnancy would only be one chapter. The book is about the unexplained, not just this particular subject. Have any of you ever had something happen in your life that could not be explained? Have you been healed of illness or disease without explanation? When I was 19 I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. This illness stays with you your entire life. When the doctors did a follow up colonoscopy when I was 30, there was no sign of it. It was not misdiagnosed in the beginning either as I had to see several doctors and specialists. There are people who believe in the impossible and others who just live day by day with no faith in anything.

The only time in my career that a twin went undiagnosed until delivery was a woman who did not have adequate prenatal care. She had seen a doctor early in her pregnancy and moved and did not resume care until she labored. She was shockingly small and had two healthy term babies. When the fetal monitor was applied only one baby's heartbeat was recorded. Today, women are monitored very thoroughly and lab results will indicate a potential multiple birth even before an US is done.

The only way that can happen is if the mother didn't go and get proper medical tests, such as ultrasounds, CT scans or XRays done at some point in the pregnancy.

I am going to write a book on the unexplained and i am trying to get as much information as possible. I only want stories of pregnancies that went undetected even though the mother knew and resulted in an actual birth.

I agree with the other ladies. There is so much medical technology these days that it CAN and WILL be found. You can't "hide" a 36 week fetus.

It doesn't. There are women who go the whole pregnancy not knowing they are pregnant and exhibit few sign of pregnancy and then deliver a baby to the shock of them and their families. A fetus, no matter what issues you have or anatomical differences, will be visible on an ultrasound. There is a thread running about "cryptic pregnancy" using a false definition of the term, that claims their babies are invisible on US due to "altered energy fields" and that they can actually be pregnant for more than 2 years before they deliver. It is all false. Any claim of this happening has been proven false. Why do you ask?
