From what doc can tell so far there is only one sac. The babies are already measuring differently one at 6wks 5days the other 6wks 2days and are VERY close together. Dr says heart beats are in normal range. I see the specialist next week and am just worried what they may see.....or not see.

I wouldn't worry about the heartbeats, I'm pregnant with twins and their heart rates have fallen and risen too, my doctor told me they like to see that, that it shows they can fluctuate and can decrease their chances of fetal distress. I don't know much about momo twins (mine are fraternal) but I hope only the best for you! Best of luck, and keep us updated!

So I looked up mono/mono twins because I assumed that meant conjoined! Silly me, it means identical same sac twins. This is very uncomman, but I am a mono/mono twin and grew up with 3 other sets, welcome to the 1% of twins club. The biggest issue with them its the chance of cord entanglement, something you can not control. I wouldnt stress about something you can not prevent, or control. Enjoy your pregnancy and think good thoughts.

My mother always put us in the same sleepers but different colours to tell us apart. Unfor my mother did name us with silly twin names (dont do that to your poor girls/boys). The best thing my mom always did was correct people when they called us the "twins" she would say no they are Amanda & Jackie.

I understand the worry but I do believe in keeping positive thoughts. Worry is normal but right now, there is nothing to worry about because they have found nothing wrong, right???? Keep smilin'....I'll keep you in my thoughts! I wish there was a way to keep up to date on your situation...I'll keep looking for things from you I guess!!!! HUGS!

I start seeing the specialist on Tuesday. We will see what happens then. My OB is in hopes for the best, right now they look so close he is worried they may be conjoined. We will see :)

I had mon/di twins and they always measured about 5-7 days different and their heartbeats were always about 10 beats different. One was born at 2lbs. 10oz. and the other weighed 3lbs. 11oz. They should check you frequently to ensure the twins don't have Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome. Enjoy your pregnancy!

Thank you everyone I am grateful for all you are sharing and your encouraging words. Thanks for the distractions too they are helpful:) Just to update, had to go to dr today was not feeling very well, they did another ultrasound dr is concerned that they are so close together but says that it is not uncommon either. Baby A's heart beat dropped from 101 Wed to 96 today and baby B went from 136 to 133. Dr said that is nothing that he hasnt seen either. He is a little concerned that they may be joined together but he said we will not know for certain until I see the specialist on Tuesday. He did say that he was positive about the fact that they have both grown like that should be though so we will see.

thank you all for your positive thoughts. Not sure what I am doing for names or telling them apart yet....lol. Still in la la land about the discovery. On the issue of doc thinking that is they only see one sac with no dividing membrane. They are sending me to the specialist cause of the high risk I am already and this increases it weather momos or not. I have a hard time carrying I have two children and this is my 6th pregnancy. As for them being close together I guess it is just the way the ultrasound tech said it that made me think they should not be that close. I mean they almost looked like they were touching but I saw a very little space between them so I was not sure if it was normal :) I am trying to stay very positive about this and am excited as well as worried. I will keep you all updated as I go in and out of the doctors. Thanks again guys :)

Strange... of course they are close together, they share what is a very small sac. Is there anything else the doctors said that would make them think this early they are mono, or are they just making sure they arent? 3 days a part measurement is nothing at all to worry about, esp since ultrasound measurements can be WAY off, as according to all my kids ultrasounds they were suppose to be 9 + lbs and all were born within 6-6.6Lbs. Just relax and enjoy the time you can still see your toes. :0)

stay positive the other ladies are right look at your sliver lining Identical twins how fun! are you going to use cute rhyming names? are you going to have both names start with the same letter? are they going to be boys or girls (I know your only 6weeks I'm trying to get you thinking happy here) are you going to dress them alike? or in different colors? HOW are you going to tell them apart till they are old enough to tell you who is who? braclests with their names on them would work for girls you could do little booties with their names for boys (or use baby a and baby b if your wanting to keep the naming till you see them) oh I know you should do some research online about how to get them in a routine and start preparing yourself now for the fun your about to have. When you so see the specialist and have more info you can learn all you can about what lays ahead but for now just try and relax and concentrate on the positive.

I don't have any experience w/ that type of twin, but try not to worry until you know for sure. I can tell you that simply measuring a couple days apart isn't a big deal though (w/out any other factors, of course). My girls always measured a couple/few days apart.

Hang in there. Only time will tell. Don't stress out and keep yourself relaxed as much as possible. Good luck!
