Probably shouldn't complain, but...

I have a 3 week old who sleeps 8 hours a night. She's pretty textbook, eats every 3 hours, and sleeps probably 2 of those 3 hours. However, for about 3 or 4 hours in the evening she will cry and cry and want to constantly eat. Is this normal to feed her every hour if not more, or could it be something else? Am I just trying to keep her calm with food and should be soothing her otherwise? I know I shouldn't complain, but it's heartbreaking to hear her so upset!

Totally normal! Newborns often cluster feed for hours in the evenings. My little one would often want to nurse for 2 hours before bedtime at that age. She is building your milk supply, so keep feeding her. It is tiring, but you are doing great! Keep up the good work. And 8 hours a night, wow. My 11 month old does not even do that consistently.
