After a meeting with my 5 1/2 year olds teacher, it's been discovered that he has crossing midline problems that are affecting his learning. Has anyone dealt with this and what exercises have been most effective?

This is a neurological issue. It needs to be evaluated by a Neurologist. Then therapy that will help can be determined. Without knowing the cause, you can't treat it effectively. http://www.thelancet.com/journals/laneur... - some of many neurological articles showing the importance of this symptom.

I would call your son's Ped and ask for a referral for therapy. It could just that he needs a little, but they can do an assesment and make sure. Which is the important part, they know what to look for and what to suggest to you to help to do at home.
