One of my babies is growing up. I am starting to freak out. I talk to both my girls about everything. Sometimes i feel I say too much and sometimes I feel I don't say enough.

Ah, ok. Well, I've always been pretty open with my kids. If they have questions, I answer in an age appropriate way. My son is 16 and we discuss a lot of things quite openly, including issues such as abortion, disease, birth control, you name it. Heck, he even asks questions about girl issues and doesn't freak out over it, but is very matter of fact.

Can you give too much information? Yes, I think that kids switch off if you overload them or are not ready for it. These discussions are gradual and ongoing, it should never be just a matter of "having the talk". Just keep the lines of communication open and remember, kids will ask when they are ready too if they know that you are open to it.
