I have had enough of spanking talk. You are perfectly welcome to take your question to the "pro-spank" community. The mothers there will happy to tell you how to hold him down or how to spank him into submission or whatever.
If you want alternative advice them by all mean ask for it here, but if you are determined to spank and that is your only option; then go talk to the spankers.

I agree with all of your posts (answers) and am wonder at the " lol ? thanks holly" because why would a parent go "lol" when asking a question about spanking or other forms of consequences.

Probably an indicator that he's tired of being abused and beaten and would prefer an more adult method of parenting. Your kid is more than old enough to understand your native language and have consequences imposed for his actions. Consequences that do NOT include beating him, that is.

I'd run and hide as well if you were abusing me.
Time to find other consequences.

What the hell is it w/ the overabundance of people getting off on whacking their older kids?! Spanking (if you are going to do it at all) should be LONG done by the time a child is 9 years old. Stop hitting and start parenting.

You are abusing your child. No wonder he runs away from you. I hope someone calls the authorities and has him removed, because there is no way he should be brought up in your home.

But I'm guessing Holly is trolling.
