Has anyone had a problem with circulation in their stomach..? Mine has turned purple and gotten extremely cold and isn't getting better. Last night it got really bad and i stopped feeling the baby as much and i started cramping. i went to the doctor today and he has no idea wat is wrong..has anyone experienced this???

Hi Ashley, first off, I would be getting a second opinion straight away - you can never be too safe!

I was wondering if you were laying on your back when this happened? If you were then the weight of the bub may have compressed the veins in your back restricting blood flow . . I have never heard of it causing a numb/purple belly but anything is possible . . . If you were and it did, that can be really dangerous for the bub too, because it limits your blood circulation but can also restrict blood going into the placenta.

If I was in your situation I would also be ready to drop everything and dash straight to the ER if it happens again . . .

Good luck, I hope everything really is fine . . and it probably is :o) These weird bloody pregnancy side effects that no one ever tells you about are REALLY annoying . . . BUT better to be safe than sorry.

I'd get a second opinion if you're worried.Your health, and that of your baby is far too important to sit here worrying. You'll feel much better if you talk to someone else.

Was he able to find the baby's heatbeat? Normally you would think this would be caused by the baby dying or something. I hope this is not the case though for you. Good luck!
