Question, would you take you kids to a birthday party with around 100 people, kids and adults.

I am wondering if you would go. My daughter has been sick off and on since Christmas and is now on anti biotics for an inner ear infection, I am scared she will pick something else up as she still has not gotten 100% back to herself. Since Christmas she has missed at least 1 day of school a week due to this flu. Being that there will be lots of people and different food as they are serving food from there culture, plus she is not eating well yet. Help, would you go.

I would go and leave my baby home with a baby sitter. But that's just me. I love parties.

Thanks everyone I will keep her home as I do not want her to get something else. Being a mom is hard when you have to make decisions that hurt your kids but if she gets sick again then that is worse.

I likely wouldn't go. Even if she is feeling okay, the fact that she is on antibiotics lowers her immune system and the fact that she has been fairly sick on and off lately, she could easily pick up something else.

Yeah, that is A LOT of people!!!! But if your daughter is not feeling well then I would keep her home.

I wouldn't go, but my reason would be that I wouldn't be comfortable around that many people. ;) lol

There might not be anything wrong with your daughter it could just be this terrible cold and flu season we have been having. Thank god we are on the way out of it. both my daughter and myself got almost everything that went around this year so we spent more time sick than not in the last couple of months as well.
If your daughter is feeling up to it and its a close friend or family member then I would make a short appearance at the party (about an hour or so) Just make sure she washes her hands frequently and that she isn't sharing food or drinks with any of the other kids.
If its not someone really close (like a classmate or a co worker) then I wouldn't risk going, take the time to let your daughter get better.

If your daughter is not well then I would not go. If she is over the worst and better then yes I would go. Try giving your daughter a multivitamin every day to help with her immune system. If she has been ill for three months then may be it is time to take her to the doctors to see if there is something else you are missing. Children that have anemia tend to get sick alot and this is down to the lack of red meat and dark green veg in the diet. lets face it most kids like to eat chicken and they do not queue up to eat cabbage. Something simple like this could be the cause of all these colds.

You can not keep her away from all germs but if she is already ill then she needs to rest and regain her strength to fight off any more germs that are coming her way.

It's up to you on the day whether you feel she is well enough to go, it is a shame to miss out on an experience like this, but if she is not well health comes first.
