Hello to all of the Mother's,
My name is Melinda Adams, currently I'm a student nurse going to school to get my RN degree. I'm doing my pediatric rotation right now and our instructor has given us an assignment where each of us have a child that has been diagnosed with a childhood disease. My assignment is a "13-year old boy with Legg-Calve Perthes" disease. I had never heard of this disease until I was given this assignment. Would any of you be interested in telling me about your story and contributing your personal experience to my class assignment?
Just to give you a little insight to me, I'm a mother of 2 kids. My son is 18 months old and healthy. My daughter would be 11 years old, she passed away from her congenital heart defect at 5 years old. So I am a mother who has dealt with a chronically ill child and have some ability to relate to your personal stories.
