Hello, my name is Christopher I am a dad not a mom. I was looking for help and saw this site.
For 6 year's I been trying to get the mother of my son to move out of a city. That has high crime, low education standards, and absolutely no cultural. If you're not Greek or Italian you really don't matter. I am Black and she is Egyptian. My 5 year old son said to me that he thinks it would be better for him if he was white. I share this statement with his mother and she just chalk it up as it was him just talking. I understand a bi radical kid wonders why they look different from there peers. But to articulate the way my son does. Has me believing that someone close to him is leading this thought in him.
Now I have offered to move everything to Las Vegas and pay for it.I told her that she can still live as a single woman that part of her life is her's to enjoy. But she has never been a single parent. And now that I am retiring from the military I want to see my son everyday. I am a Purple Heart survivor and I need to be close to a base so that I can continue my treatments. But I am lost on what to do as far as getting the mother of my child to see this is best for our child. If we don't take care of these insecurities that our son is developing. It will be harmful to him when he becomes a man himself.
