Get court ordered support in place, register yourself with your local workforce office, get out there daily with your resume, and apply to at least 3 jobs a day.

Eventually you will find work. Getting the court ordered support in place means you'll have some means of support for the child, but he doesn't have to support you as well, so you'll need to continue to put out applications until you get a job. Even if it's flipping burgers, or delivering newspapers, anything's better than nothing.

Have you gone to child support yet? That would be step number 1. He needs to help with the child he helped make. Once you find a job he may be responsible for paying some of the child care cost (depends on how much he makes and how they set up the agreement)

Make sure you go to WIC to get the baby the formula and such it needs. Go to welfare and at least get food stamps if you can. Many will have work programs to help you find a job.

If things are really bad look for soup kitchens in the area that you can even eat lunch at. Many churches will keep a stock of baby clothes if you need them ask. Catholic charities has many programs that might be able to help you out. Catholic charities has tons of programs to help out and numbers of places to help with other things. use google to find one close to you and ask them for help.
