My 15 year old son is smoking he said that older children at school will buy them for him.
I am concerned as he has regular chest infection and now has a real smokers cough which is not great. I am concerned about his health as my gp said that chest infection can lead onto lung infection when he is older
My son said that smoking make him look older and more mature for his age. What can I do?

LOL...I'm full of 'em, Kate!

My kids' regular punishment was volunteering in an area that would teach them a lesson about whatever they decided to be stupid about...

Thankfully, it didn't happen very often at all, but my kids ended up doing a lot of volunteer work just on their own, because they enjoyed it.

But, for bullies, I recommend supervised work with developmentally disabled folks, for smoking, the suggestion that I've already put out, for drugs, volunteering at an addicts clinic...But I have to be quite honest, I 'stole' the idea from the '7th Heaven' TV show!

Explain him all the effects of smoking and show some videos online on how smoking effects health. Though it is very hard to stop, try to boost him in all possible ways and give full support to him.

That is a great idea Shawnn. I would have never thought of that. Let's hope Jill likes the idea too.

Well, you can turn the idiots buying for him in to the law, if you're in the US. You can also take away his cigarettes, and make him volunteer in an oncology ward, specifically with lung cancer patients, who's cancer is the result of smoking.

Make sure he knows what that will do to him. You may wanna talk to the parents or someone about them sop mocking and buying nip them for kids. Tell Yule son not to do it. If he will not quit limit the smoking and give him rewards for not smoking for a week or so. I hope that helped.
