It's very important that we all reduce the chemicals we use at home. When I became a mom I started my research and I found that there is plenty of information to open our eyes. I stop using chemicals and now I use enzymes and water to clean my entire house and for personal use. Now my home is safer and my daughter can wonder around the house without ingesting, breathing or touching hazardous chemicals. Stop shopping for those products from that smelly aisle. If you are interested to change your cleaning methods message me.

Just a warning: If you say PM me for more info, it IS soliciting. We don't allow soliciting here so be very careful what you say. Also don't just start sending PM's to every as that is not allowed either.

Sara, just FYI for you...the best way to get in touch with others on this (so you don't get in trouble for soliciting) is to say " PM me for info". When you click on a member's name, it takes you to their profile and you can send them a private message.

If you'd like me to demonstrate, respond, and I'll PM you. I'm all about less chemicals and more natural substances, that's for sure!

Which, considering I work in the Chemistry department at a university could be a double standard, I guess...LOL...but oh well!

I actually love this conversation. I am so happy that there are so many other moms who can relate to the way I feel. I have had hives and constant infection and my toddler had been with eczema and also rosacea since she was born. It hurt me so badly to see her itch and hurt. I finally found a wonderful thing and I would absolutely love to share it with other moms . I am trying to spread this to as many people as I can. I am not advertising . I am simply wanting to share a tip. For instance, I found household cleansers and lotion and I can tell everyone that I now have been free from infection and my child is free from those horrid rashes. The chemicals that you smell go straight into the body. As a long time nurse who is back in school and with limited income, I appreciate what I have found. I could hardly afford the doctor's top recommended lotion and I found one cheaper that is seven times as effective and also treats all skin issues . I also threw all of the nasty chemicals out of our home and now have the ability to use household cleansers and all else "green " and it is delivered straight to my door and wow its no water added so it is very eco friendly and I have not had to rebuy as each cleanser lasts six times the amount I buy . Also in changing things like laundry detergent helps so much . I also changed all soaps and just about everything. But, as for home cleansers , they have things that cleanse naturally such as the herb thyme and lemon . I never knew anything could change all those expensive doctor visits and help us so much. I used to clean with vinegar as well. I think that is also awesome. If anyone wanted to know anything about what I use please let me know . I love to share it; I just love to show other women about this cool experience we have had. My email is mmcclure717.mm@gmail.com and I am so glad to see other people so passionate about what they put into cleaning their homes .This made my day even better. Kudos!!! and thanks Sara S. for this conversation.

I use vinegar as softener as well! We need to teach others to clean their homes without chemicals.

Actually, vinegar is a very good cleaner, and your second response, Sara, screams solicitation, so you may want to take the email link out of it...just sayin, because I don't think you're trying to solicit anything

Actually, vinegar is good for softening laundry, use in dishwashers for rinses, disenfects and sanitizes everything.

I find baking soda great. It cleans off dirt easily. Just mix a small bit of baking soda with water to make a thickish paste and put it on stains and stuck on dirt. Leave it for a few minutes and hey presto, it easily comes off. I really suggest trying it. Although it is not the best for everyday cleaning, it is good for pots, pans, the oven and any other things like that.

I use vinegar as well, but unfortunately vinegar doesn't clean everything. Let me know if you would like to clean differently saving money, time and the environment PM me.
