My son is 5 months old, when he was born I was set on breast feeding, when he was born he was 9 pounds and always hungry! I kelt trying and trying and I could never get him to latch on, I talked to a lady at the wic office a week after she came to a conclusion that I have inverted nipples, an explained to me that it's very hard and frustrating with that problem, for you and baby & that if we both kept getting frustrated and it not working there was nothing I could do. So anyways he's been on soy formula & my sister in law just had a baby & was having issues, she got informed to try nipple shields & she had flat nipples, it has worked awesomely and her baby is latching on & eating so well!! I just wish someone would have informed me of nipple shields then, I've never heard of them til now. My question is, is there any possible way any one knows of to get my milk back to possibly try breast feeding again with the nipple shields?!
