I'm a nurse, works 12 hr shifts 4-5x week. Nights so it doesn't interfere with everyone with the kids. He doesn't understand why I can't keep the house " amazingly clean". I come home from work, have to clean their mess( I straightened up before I left) I watch our four year old son , clean, cook, run errands, hopefully take a nap somehow before going back to work. He's insulting me. Accusing me of messing around, all the time. He doesn't take me out because he thinks I want other guys. To him I am not a good mother, house cleaner, he's said I was fat, complains I don't do enough and is lazy, pushes me away when I need to be held, makes me cry and watches me and says I'm weak. Broken promises all the time to me and the kids. I know I have to leave, but don't know how. I don't have friends here and my mother is too old to have me and three kids move in even for a little time ( heart issues) I'm sad ,depressed, cry every day, try to be happy around kids, but they are not stupid. I need to leave but not sure how. Top it off, my credit not so good since I've been with him... Couldn't even get rental furniture... Please help

Hi Carla,

You sound like a strong and amazing women and mother. I am sad that you are going through this; however I think there is hope. Have you tried counseling? Either couples counseling or individual counseling? This might assist you with finding out what is going on and get to root of the problems with your husband. However, if you feel that you are in danger and need to leave I would also suggest meeting with a counselor to make a plan. Either way, these tools are often available for free at the local church or you might be able to find a community agency to assist you. If you need some immediate help you can discuss your situation with a Focus counselor at no cost to you by calling 855-382-5433. I believe that will get you started in the right direction. I am praying that you find peace and strength in this situation as well as the right person to help you. Stay strong and God Bless you.
