Rice cereal .....3 month twins

,3 month old twins. 3 - 4 oz every 3 hrs. Tried giving more ounces but they fall asleep before finishing and/or spit up more. Help! I need to sleep. Should I give rice cereal with their 1st nighttime bottle to maybe get them to sleep longer until their 2nd bottle? I wouldn't mix the rice in the bottle but would be using a spoon.

Add on- Due to the first response received I also want to add this.
Their father does help with every thing in addition to working 50+ hours a week. We are both tired. My parents do help. Please don't think I am complaining. I am so grateful for these babies and love them so much. I just wanted to hear opinions on rice cereal.

No! Food is meant to be eaten once a child is at least 6 months old.

I know you are tired and I know you need to sleep, but trust me when I say... this stage will NOT last forever. They will start to sleep in longer stretches when they are ready. Starting solids does 'help' some babies, but it makes sleep worse for others... and under 6 months has the potential to cause permanent damage to their digestive systems.

Hang in there!! I, honestly, remember very, very, very little about my twins first year, but they are 14 now and it's all worth it. Try to get a nap in when you can and/or take turns feeding the babies at night, so that you can each get a longer stretch of sleep.

Solids (including rice cereal) isn't recommended before 6 months.
Rice cereal is just empty calories and won't help the babies sleep longer anyway.
Babies are usually awake every 3-4 hours anyway and it doesn't last forever. My advice would be to see if someone can come around or their Father look after them for a few hours while YOU have a rest. You don't have to do everything on your own, the Father can step up and be a Father.

As others have stated no food until 6 months old. Eating every 3 hours is normal for a 3 month old. They are spitting up when you feed more at a feeding because their tummies are small and can't hold that much food at one time. That is why babies eat often.
